Pet Surgery in Manchester, CT
Our surgery studio provides your pet with state-of-the-art surgical equipment. Precise monitoring equipment is used by trained staff on all patients undergoing anesthesia.
The surgeons at Animal Medical Clinic of Connecticut conduct a wide range of operations that your pet may need. From standard spays and neuters to trickier soft tissue and cystotomies. We have a great working relationship with nearby facilities should your pet need a more specialized procedure. Please don’t hesitate to ask a member of our staff if you have any questions related to our surgical procedures.
We recommend a pre-anesthetic blood test and, in some situations, mandate it. This enables us to anticipate issues and make appropriate plans. Our doctors create a unique anesthetic strategy specifically for your pet. Your pet will be monitored on a cutting-edge multi-parameter machine throughout their procedure. This monitors blood pressure, temperature, end-tidal CO2, oxygen saturation, and heart and respiratory rates. Along with our specialized equipment, our technicians will manually monitor our patients throughout their entire procedure.
Because we place a high value on our patients’ comfort, ALL animals undergoing surgery will be given pain medication at the time of the treatment. Depending on how intrusive a treatment is, other medications warranted by the doctor may be sent home.
